Festival gates are open from 11:00am – 7:00pm.

On arrival please match the colour in your ticket name with the correct lane.
Your Ticket Type has a (LANE COLOUR) associated with the ticket name.

There are large coloured signs above each lane (Blue, Green and Pink).

When approaching the gate, please have your ticket ready to scan, either a printed version or displayed on your phone via the Eventbrite app (available on the App Store or Google Play).

Your ticket will be scanned, and you’ll be given an Entry Wristband (AWOP RFID).
This is your payment system for the Festival, and will be loaded with any currency you’ve pre-purchased with your ticket, or that you top up at the Festival.

As you enter, you’ll be given a Festival Cup and your Festival Guide. And then you’re good to go!

Beers at the Basin is a 100% cashless Festival. With no cash or eftpos transactions to handle, this helps our bars and food vendors process transactions quickly through AWOP, meaning more time for you to enjoy the festival.

Purchasing Currency

As mentioned above, your Entry Wristband (RFID) will be loaded with any Festival currency you’ve pre-purchased.
This year, you can pre-purchase $30 Festival currency with your ticket, and this will save you the onsite $2 activation fee.
We strongly recommend purchasing currency before the Festival so you can start the fun from the first minute.

You will be able to purchase Festival currency at the Festival (you cannot top-up now before the Festival). Currency can be purchased with Cash (the fastest option), Eftpos or Credit Card.
Wristbands can be loaded with as many dollars as you prefer (one-off activation fee of $2 will be charged).
Alternatively, you can pre-purchase tickets that include $30 Festival currency. Pre-purchased currency does not incur an activation fee.

Topping Up Currency

If you need to top up at the Festival, just head to one of our Top Up Stands / Banks or roaming Top Up Staff.
Once a Wristband has been activated, there is no further top-up charge.
